Who We Are

Medina County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is a local government agency that provides support and coordination assistance to first responders for county-wide emergency/disaster planning, education, warning, response and recovery activities. The primary responsibility of Medina County EMA is to better prepare Medina County for natural, man-made or technological disasters, hazards or acts of terrorism.

Medina County Emergency Management was formed as a county wide EMA in 1990 under ORC 5502.26. It operates in accordance with the “Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act”.  The agency is responsible for maintaining and exercising the county-wide All Hazards Emergency Operation’s Plan. EMA also serves as the administrator for the Local Emergency Planning Committee and the Medina County All Hazards Team.
