Medina County EMA Seeking Surplus Personal Protective Equipment (COVID-19)

March 18, 2020

In support of our first responders, The Medina County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security is seeking donations of personal protective equipment (PPE). We are reaching out to you in hopes you will assist our community during this very challenging time. We ask for your help to ensure the greatest possible protection for our public safety personnel so they can stay healthy and protected to assist those in need. Personal protective equipment is also used on patients during transport to help reduce further exposure of COVID-19 to responders and hospital personnel.

Governor Dewine has encouraged those with a surplus of PPE to donate to their local Emergency Management Agencies. Donations will be prioritized and distributed to our providers with the greatest need.

Appreciated PPE not only includes items from medical providers but also other personal protective equipment that is addressed in OSHA standards for general industry, maritime, and the construction trades.

Community needs Include:
• N95 masks (including industrial types) • Surgical masks and surgical masks with face shields • Medical Gowns • Goggles • Latex and Nitrile Gloves • Hand Sanitizer

Please email Medina County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management at or call 330-249-1772 if you can assist. Please provide us with your name and contact information to make donation arrangements. Your community support is appreciated during this unprecedented time.
